Galatasaray - Barcelona

Galatasaray vs Barcelona Tickets: A European Night at RAMS Park

Galatasaray welcome Barcelona to Ali Sami Yen Spor Kompleksi RAMS Park on Tuesday evening, October 13, 2026, with kick-off set for 22:00 in Matchweek 2 of the UEFA Champions League league phase. This is not just another Champions League fixture; it is the latest chapter in a rivalry between two of European football's most storied clubs that stretches back 32 years.

A Historic Rivalry: 32 Years in the Making

Galatasaray and Barcelona first met in European competition in the 1993-94 season. In the 8 matches played since then, Barcelona have won 5, Galatasaray have won just once, and 2 have ended in draws. The Catalan giants have scored 14 goals in these meetings, while the Yellow-Reds have managed 6.

1994: The Unforgettable Victory

Galatasaray's only win against Barcelona came on November 23, 1994, at the Ali Sami Yen Stadium. After Romario gave Barcelona a 3rd-minute lead, Hakan Şükür equalized from the penalty spot, and Arif Erdem sealed a 2-1 victory. That night, Turkish football announced itself on the European stage against one of the continent's giants.

2002-03: Tough Group Encounters

The two sides met three times in the 2002-03 Champions League group stage. Barcelona won all three: 2-0 in Istanbul, 3-1 at Camp Nou, and another victory at Camp Nou. This period cemented Barcelona's historical dominance in the fixture.

2022: A New Chapter in the Europa League

The most recent meeting came in March 2022 in the UEFA Europa League. Barcelona won 2-1 in Istanbul, while the return leg at Camp Nou ended 0-0. It was the last installment of Galatasaray's battles with Spanish giants in European competition.

Current Form

Galatasaray have won four of their last five matches across all competitions. Their only defeat came in the Champions League, a 3-1 loss away to Sporting CP. With the RAMS Park crowd behind them, the Lions aim for their second-ever victory over Barcelona.

Barcelona have won all five of their recent matches, scoring 21 goals and conceding 6 in that run. The Catalans arrive in Istanbul as one of Europe's most in-form sides.
