November 24, 2026, Tuesday 20:45 RAMS Park UEFA Champions League Matchweek 5

In Matchweek 5 of the UEFA Champions League 2026-27 League Phase, Galatasaray host English side Aston Villa at Ali Sami Yen Spor Kompleksi RAMS Park on Tuesday evening, November 24, 2026 at 20:45. The Yellow-Reds aim to secure all three points in front of their home crowd in this crucial European fixture.

First-Ever Meeting

Galatasaray and Aston Villa are meeting for the first time in European competition. There are no previous official matches between the two clubs. The clash at RAMS Park will mark the beginning of a new rivalry between the two sides.

However, there is a historical connection between the two clubs: Aston Villa signed Galatasaray's legendary striker Dean Saunders for €3.5 million in 1995. That transfer was one of the notable sales from Turkish football abroad at the time.

Aston Villa's Champions League Campaign

Aston Villa began their UEFA Champions League 2026-27 league phase campaign with a 3-2 victory. The English side sit 9th in the league phase table with 3 points.

Villa have also shown consistent form in the Premier League. In their last five matches, they defeated Tottenham 3-2 and Coventry 3-1, while losing 2-1 to Nottingham Forest.

Galatasaray's Champions League Record

Galatasaray reached the Round of 16 in the Champions League last season, a significant achievement. The Yellow-Reds also hold the distinction of being the first team to surpass 200 matches in Champions League history.

Starting this season's league phase with a 3-1 away defeat to Sporting, Galatasaray will face Barcelona, PSG (A), Aston Villa, Sporting (A), Feyenoord, Lille (A), Stuttgart, and AEK Athens (A).

Squad Values

Galatasaray's most valuable player is Victor Osimhen, with a market value of €75 million. Aston Villa's top asset is Johan Manzambi, valued at €65 million.

However, both teams have significant injury concerns. Galatasaray will be without Victor Osimhen, Wilfried Singo, Mario Lemina, Roland Sallai, and Günay Güvenç due to injuries. Aston Villa's injury list includes Pau Torres, Amadou Onana, Leon Goretzka, and Ian Maatsen.

Matchday at RAMS Park

Ali Sami Yen Spor Kompleksi RAMS Park is one of Turkey's most modern stadiums, with a capacity of over 52,000. The atmosphere created by the Yellow-Red supporters turns European nights into a challenging away experience for visiting teams. Due to heavy traffic around the stadium on matchdays, fans are advised to arrive early and use the metro (Seyrantepe station) for the smoothest journey.
